Show us how you work with a coding agent

This is the first step in applying for the Senior Software Engineer, Agentic Development role. You'll get a small Python program that doesn't yet meet its specification, and you'll fix it with the coding agent of your choice, connected to a model endpoint we provide.

What we record

Everything your agent sends through our endpoint, and every reply, is recorded and reviewed by people at Casaba and by AI tools. That includes your messages to the agent, the files and command output it reads, and any instructions file it loads (for example CLAUDE.md or AGENTS.md). Work in a new, empty folder, and keep anything personal or confidential out of the session.

We keep recordings for a limited period after the hiring decision (to be confirmed). A person makes every hiring decision.

What to expect

• Most people need 30 to 45 minutes.
• Your key works for 7 days and has a spending cap that is generous for this task.
• You submit once: your program's output for your personal input, and a short note.
